Tips for Your Next Foreign Trip

Plan your trip and enjoy!

When you are plannig a travel, there much more things to care about than cheap tickets. Here are a few things you need to consider before and after going to a foreign country. Check your travel documents; your passport validity and the visa validity. Be aware of the public announcements made in the country you are about to visit. You must have a general idea about the local laws, customs and the culture of that country; you definitely don’t want to get into any troubles and be under arrest. It is wise to carry extra copies of your passports. They will come handy when you lose the original one. Let your contact information with your family members. Keep your luggage with you all the time. Register with your embassy before your departure. Don’t put on more jewelry. It could be unsafe to you. And if you have any problem in the country you visit, immediately inform to the embassy.

Once you get there, you need to be careful with the food you eat and the water you drink. Falling sick in a foreign country can ruin the whole trip. Most of the time it’s the food that makes us sick. There are three varieties of food:

Raw, Uncooked Foods

Uncooked food has many germs, microorganisms like bacteria and parasites. Certain countries like china have some special dishes like the drunken shrimp and crab varieties where the shrimps are soaked in the wine for a very long time and consume it uncooked. Eating such food can make you sick. You definitely don’t want your intestines to be invaded by parasites, do you? Even if you eat at a very expensive and hygienic restaurant, it’s still harmful to you.

Stale Foods and Condiments

We generally use the sauce that is put on the table. We don’t even know since when it was waiting for someone to eat it. And actually there could be plenty of other things that could be waiting inside that sauce. Stay away from foods that could be stale. You can’t enjoy your dream trip with your stomach upset or even worse diarrhea.

Do not miss the local foods!

Once again let me take china as an example. I don’t say that the food they eat is bad but we who are foreign to their food habits cannot adjust to some of their food habits. It is normal for us to feel like trying their delicacies but we must also have a basic idea of what you are eating and how it is prepared. If you are an orthodox Christian you want to follow the word of god sincerely, you need to be careful. You should inquire if the dish has blood in it.

Chinese people cook and eat duck blood. Similar foods could be available at many other countries. China is definitely a wonderful place to visit with great culture and history. I would definitely recommend the place for a wonderful trip. Actually I myself have been to China and I have known a few things myself. Watch out! Whatever your purpose of visit is, whichever the country is, you better watch out for what you eat. Stay healthy all through the journey and enjoy your vacation.
