It is centrally situated at the intersection of Africa, Asia and Europe. Around 90% of the Egyptian population settled along the thin fertile lands on both side of the river Nile. The mighty Arabian Desert is located on the eastern side of the river valley and surrounded by a high crest of mountains. The Libyan Desert stretches along the top in North Africa

Population of Egypt:

Egypt is home to around 72 million inhabitants, and composes of around one fourth of the Arab population.

Language:

The official language of Egypt is Arabic, though the language spoken in streets differs in dialect largely from classical Arabic. Along with Arabic language, English is also widely spoken, so also French, Italian, German, and Russian

Religion:

Majority of the Egyptian population follows Islam. Even then, close to 12 million Christians are also residing in Egypt. Both of these communities enjoy easy coexistence. One of the major events among Muslims is the Ramadan, when they observe fast during the day. In the evening, there is a grand feast called “Iftar” and this commensurate street entertainment till sunrise next day.

One can see many changes in the political, cultural and economical spheres of life in Egypt today. This is very much relevant since the close of the nineteenth century.

Sightseeing and leisure activities:

Diving Fun: Diving into the Red Sea on a holiday gives you a memorable experience.

Fauna and Flora: One can see and explore plenty of fauna and flora in the Red Sea, which is a colossal basin. It is located in the North and enclosed by the Gulfs of Aqaba and Suez.

Camping: Egypt offers you excellent opportunity to explore its outstanding natural sceneries, coupled by a welcoming climate.

Trekking: Come back to breathtaking natural plains and landscapes of Egypt, when you are out looking to climb mountains, trek the plains, stroll sands or explore the oases.

Bird Watching: This one of the more interesting activities you can look out to while in Egypt. Combine watching birds with sightseeing, and you will spot different species of birds that have played significant roles in the sacred and secular circles of Egyptian culture.

Cruises: Do not miss the opportunity to relax on a luxurious cruise along the mighty River Nile. You will be taken to many of the important cultural landmarks as well as sites spread across Egypt. If you have sufficient time, you can very well take a longer cruise and soak yourself in the atmosphere at your own leisure. If you do run short of time, you can very well opt for the short half or one-day cruises that are also easily available.

Beaches: Some of the world’s lovely beaches are situated along the Mediterranean blue seas. It is not uncommon among locals to flock to the beaches in the scorching sun. There are these seducing coral reefs, which have enchanted divers for decades now.

Golf: You cannot afford to miss out to tee off in the shade along the Great Pyramids in the modern Cairo’s Mirage City, and picture yourself watching the exotic species of birds flying overhead Alexandria’s Sporting Club.

Safari: Egypt beckons you to a wonderful experience on its Safari rides, where you get an opportunity to explore the mesmerizing atmosphere.
